Taco Vazquez II

I tried their tacos, and they were a true delight. The variety of fillings and the handmade tortillas added an authentic touch to each bite. The food is amazing here! My favorite are the 🫔 tamales. They are the best around. The nachos grande is also very good, and the tacos. Call ahead if you can. They are always very busy. Not great for dine in. There is only a counter to eat at as it's inside a gas station. 😁 Don't let that scare you away! There are a few tables outside!

The food is SO GOOD! Which is why I kept going back. BUT the customer service is terrible if you do not speak Spanish. The workers spoke English, so communication is not an issue. The issue is, the workers talking negatively about customers to staff/other customers in Spanish falsely assuming that their White/Black customers do not speak Spanish as well. I just went in on my break, asked if empanadas were available, told yes, once I paid they said 20/30 minutes. I asked to cancel and get a refund, then she told me I could not have a refund. After this, she was talking to everyone around about me, in Spanish. I understood every word, so even though their food is delicious I will never return.

They got 2 stars today because they are one of my favorite places to eat. However, today I was waiting and watching. First let me tell you the kitchen area is small. I would assume the only hand washing station is the one in front of the cashier. Anyway an employee came in clocked in and immediately began bagging food without washing hands. Ok no big deal. Then an employee came from inside the store shook hands with a customer passed by the hand washing station and went to the kitchen. Once again another employee came from the bathroom in an apron passed by the hand washing station and proceeded to the kitchen. The same woman that was bagging picked up a broom swept the floor, and picked up the trash in a dustpan. Guess what? Proceeded to bag food without washing hands. I hate to post this but I frequently stop there and spend $30-$40 every visit. I do not want to get sick. Their food is amazing. They proudly display their serve safe certificates above the sink. Why not utilize this knowledge and keep people safe.
